Evolution Minute is a news and educational program that exposes the controversy regarding the origins of life brought about by fundamentalist religions who question Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution. While the positions on this controversy have become alarmingly polarized, we also report on those who believe that the scientific principles of evolution and the idea of God are compatible.

Because Evolution Minute reports all sides of the controversy and features commentary reflecting all viewpoints on the issue, it is an ideal teaching aid for classes in Debate, Social Studies, History, and if school boards permit, the sciences. The news reportsŐ broad coverage illuminates the similarities and disparities between evolution theory, creationism, and intelligent design.

Evolution Minute is developed by teachers for teachers and is not affiiated with any religious or political interest group. Our sole purpose and only interest is to inform and educate.

Each news show is one minute long and presented in a variety of audio formats as well as a verbatim text transcript. Sources for the news stories include major newspapers, magazines, scientific journals, religious publications, and other media sources that offer accurate reports on this controversy.

Journalism students can follow stories as they develop, tracing their sources and finding their own leads on any story angle from the extensive weblinks provided on the Evolution Minute web site.
